Gauges and light not working on 2002 monte carlo ss?

Monte Carlo has had a lot of gauge problems. The easiest fix is to find the exact gauge cluster on Ebay and swap them out. Have researched the problem and other people sent theirs out to have repaired for $600 or more.
Now we had to put water in it today because it got hot the heater was blowing cool air then after put water in it heater started working??
That was another issue people were having with the Monte. Read numerous posts where the temp gauge would quit working. They would finally change out the thermostat and the problem with the gauge would go away. Sounded like you had bigger issues since the whole left side was dead. Maybe try changing the thermostat. That may fix one gauge.
Thanks so much probably go ahead and change thermostat and guage cluster both..thats what my husband thought it was too was the thermostat..:)
There should be a fuse panel on the passenger side of the dash. You will have to open the door and pull off the plastic cover to access it. Check inside there for any blown fuses.
Chevrolet needs to recall the gage cluster on the monte carlo.lots of people have problems with them. Temperature gauge not working can lead to engine damage.
disconnect battery for 15 minutes then reconnect, turn the key to run (without starting) for 5 seconds then off then to run again for 5 seconds then start i believe this resets the pcm and has worked for me for various malfunctions
