Over heating

Asked by Reliant_1612 Mar 08, 2017 at 08:23 AM about the 2003 Chevrolet Monte Carlo LS FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2003 Monte Carlo ls 3.4. I have
changed water pump, belt, changed
radiator, flushed system with flush and
distilled water, replaced a few hoses, and
thermostat. I can run heat when it's not
blowing cool air and temp will come down.
Can run the air or it over heats fast. There
was some oily residue when I flushed
cooling system. I'm at a loss. Please help!
Also I opened bleeds screw and got all air
out of system.

Sounds like you need to purge the cooling system from air. Hear is how to do that... www.youtube.com/watch?v=zUpXgAJ1gjU
