Grinding Noise on Front Right Side

Asked by MonteCARLLOss03 Apr 01, 2016 at 09:24 AM about the 2003 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I Recently slid in the snow doing around 25-30 the front right tire hit first
then the back right slid into the curb after, the tires were all crookedbent
and on the back right side i replaced the whole strut and the control arm
and it was fine, the front right wasn't bent however i noticed a grinding
clunking but i didnt pay attention if the noise was exactly from the accident
at first i thought it was the rotor so i got it all replaced but it still does it and
doesnt go away when braking, its not loud enough to be heard over the
engne and it starts at about 15 mph and gets louder when turning right and
it is a revolving noise that only occurs on a certain spot of revolution of the
tire, however i dont think its as fast as the wheel completely turning,
sompped or somewhere along those lines, ive been driving it everywhere
fine the noise is just unsettling enough to keep me on edge while
drivingand nothing looks bad/broken from the naked eye

It Turned out to be a bad wheel bearing. But i only noticed when i took it apart to look at backing plate so thx.
