Asked by GuruH42DG Sep 22, 2019 at 12:36 PM about the 1999 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 LS Extended Cab 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 99 silverado and it goes in and out of limp
mode when I shut the drivers door. I cleaned up all
the grounds that I could find as a friend told me
that what it could be. It doesn't do it every time but
once in a while.

It throws off a few different codes. Sometimes it throws a shift solenoid B sometimes its A sometimes it both and the torque clutch solenoid. And they are all brand new in there. Replaced them when it first happened. Thank y'all for the answers I appreciate them. And I'll start looking now.

Thank you I will. Maybe you can answer this one for me. I have an lt1 and im trying to put it in my 99 silverado with the 5.3. I have the computer and all the wiring. What do I need to do to be able to put it in my truck? And will I have to change out the motor mount? I swear I'm a good mechanic just never done this kind of swap before and I don't want to mess things up.any info would be greatly appreciated.
