my 1999 silverado has no power in 4th or 5th gear

my truck has no power in 4th and 5th gear the motor is running good but i have to put my foot to the floor in 4th to go up hill. 5th will only hold the speed i'm going and will not accelerate and it will completely lose speed going up hill even with my foot on the floor.
can someone help?

Try a new fuel filter before you replace a bunch of parts,it's the most common problem.Next bet would be a plugged catalitic convertor.

My Saturn is doing the Exact same thing, I just changed the fuel filter, and took off the catalitic converter, New clutch put iin????? what next????
