1997 silverado z71

Hello I have a 1997 chevy silverado z71 with the
5.7 vortex now here's my problem I just got my
tranny rebuilt but when I crank my truck i can put it
in gear and it will run fine after like 3 min of going
40  it won't go forward or backward I have to stop
cut it off and let it sit for like 10 min crank it back
up and it's fine again what could it be?
