Fuel pump

Asked by GuruNBSVQ Oct 24, 2019 at 09:38 PM about the 1999 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I replaced a fuel pump in my truck
After I put the tank back on the
truck. The truck won't start. The
reason for my replacing the pump
was because my truck drove with
a hesitation. Come to find out the
new pump is faulty so I put my
old one back in. And still won't
start. I'm believing it wired it
wrong. I later have found out one
pump the gray wire is positive and
the black is negative. Now there is
a gray little box that has a purple
and black/white wires already
clipped in the box. Would you
know which way the gray wire and
back wire goes?
