what will cause my car to start by itself with no one touching the keys?
i have a 1997 chevy silverado 1500 for the past three weeks from 11:20pm to
11:40pm, the time has been getting later as the days pass, my truck will auto
start on its on no one will be by the keys and nothing is touching the keys. is
there anything specific that will cause this?
Pull the batteries out of your FOBs. for a few days to determine if it still persists. If it does still persist then someone else (close proximity) has the same FOB code as you.
I wasn't aware you had remote start on this vehicle? My wiring diagram didn't show it? The database I use, isn't the best, it's what I could afford. Pulling the starter relay should stop it, maybe it won't start after your through with vehicle for the day. If no remote start, I'd have to check ignition switch and wiring. good luck
Do you have OnStar? You can remote start some vehicles with the OnStar app. Did someone hack your app?
