I have a Chevy Silverado Z-71 with a v-8 5.3 liter. I am now certain there is atleast a half gallon of water in tank.
I'm wondering how to go about fixing this truck myself in the cheapest way possible.
Anywhere from a 1/2 to 1 gallon of water has ran through my motor, along with $20
dollars worth good gas. It died and will not start, but it turns over and you can hear the
fuel pump engage. I need to know the steps I need to take in fixing this. So far I have
purchased a new fuel filter and valvoline water remover. I don't know how to drain the
tank. Is there a plug or something on this particular vehicle? Do I need to purchase fuel
injector cleaner? I'm in such a bind right now financially. Thank you to all that help.
