Question type: Maintenance & Repair
I have a 2000 chevy silverado with 198648
miles the problem it had was hi reving hard
shifting and once it was in drive it would do
30mph without touching the gas so I assumed
it was a vac leak changed the intake gasket
fixed it but it started acting up cutting off at
stops or low mph turns and even changing of
the gear unless I'm two footing it please any
suggestions will help

Maybe put a new fuel regulator on. That will help with the idling. It helped in my 99 tahoe i had.

Clean or replace the ( ICS ) Idle Control Solenoid or Mass Air Flow Sensor depending on which one your vehicle has. Also check and replace air filter if necessary, clean throttle body with throttle body cleaner.
I'm going to try the regulator tomarrow and clean the throttle body as well but the mass air flow I already replaced with new unit amd just put on a brand new spectra air flow system with new filter
Ok I cleaned my throttle body and put a new regulator also put new throttle body gasket and a new egr line it and it's still doing the same thing what else should I change
My friend has a reader and it is reading bad mass air flow but I already replaced the mass air flow sensor

Just because it's new does not mean it is not bad. Replaced many parts new out of the box not working matter of fact replaced one part from the same place three times and part did not work went to another parts store and it worked.
throttle position senser
