Transmission in 2000 Chevy Silverado 4×4
I was driving down the road and the rear end
went out, so I engaged the four wheel drive
to get home and then a while down the road
the rear end locked up at about 60mph
causing the aluminum drive shaft to snap
and busy the spacer casing between the
transmission and transfer case. I replaced
the spacer case and married the
transmission and transfer case back
together only now when I engage the four
wheel drive it jurks like it is ready to go
except when I press the accelerator it goes
no where and that is the same result in 4
high and 4 low....the drive shaft has not been
replaced yet, nor has the rear end. How do I
fix this problem? I have topped off the fluid
and seen no leaks...what else can I do at
home to address the issue?
