I need a truck bed for my 2000 Silverado 1500 , I'm
wondering if a older model GMC truck bed will bolt
up the same so I can put it on my truck , they are
both the same size my truck is just a newer body
style then the other one is .

You can make it fit, even if you have to drill some new mounting holes. Just as long it is the same length. (long box, short box)

The bolts need to be grade 8 bolts. The bolt head is rounded dome like, the underneath side of the head is square so it locks into the hole so you can tighten the nuts underneath. You don't necessarily need that style of bolt tho. Just make sure they are grade 8 bolts & nuts.
