Will the short bed from a 95 silverado1500 extracab fit on a 2000 silverado 1500?

The bed on my 2000 Chevy Silverado 1500 extra cab is rusted out so bad it
has worn a hole in my gas tank!   I found a 1995 Silverado 1500 extracab short
bed that looks like it will fit but wanted to be sure before purchasing and doing
a trial and error.  Any input will be appreciated.

Those are two different series trucks so it may not fit exactly but you could make it work. It may look funny but with some effort it could be made to work.
