On starting, the battery is weaker and as you drive it, the alternator builds the battery back up to be stronger.

I have a 2004 Chevy Silverado extended cab, 4.8 liter. I have had multiple issues with this vehicle, but the one I can't seem to solve is this: if I leave the truck sitting for a day, when I get in and start driving, about 5 miles down the road, it acts like it is being starved of fuel. The engine light starts blinking and there is no power even when i step on the gas fully. After a minute or two, it goes away and runs fine unless I let it sit for a couple days. I just replaced my fuel lines because they were rusted out but that didn't solve the problem. Any ideas anyone? 6 Answers

I have a 2008 Chevy Silverado 5.3. Truck idles good when in park but when I put it into gear the check engine light comes on. P0307, witch is Cylinder 7 misfiring. Ive changed all the lifters,coils,injectors and solnoids. Plugs and wires as well.
