2001 Chevy 1500 cranks but wont start up

Truck started and ran fine all the way home last night, went to start it up this evening and it turns over at the same speed as normal but will not fire up at all, pumped the gas peddle several times, nothing changed, even tried holding the gas peddle down while turning the key over, engine turns over bit still not starting up at all, cant even smell any gas(thinking that i had flooded the motor) gauges all work like normal, battery has plenty of charge, any ideas on where to start, this is my elderly fathers truck who is on a fixed income and really doesnt have the money to throw around putting parts in that it really doesnt need right this minet, any advice or ideas would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance for any help......

My truck has a electric problem I put in a new coil a new rotor a new crank shaft sensors a new distributor still don't start I really need some help
