Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Ok so I’ve had this issue for a little bit now
everything works on my truck but when I start
it the security light comes on and stays on till I
shut it off I was told to get a new key from the
dealer so I went and had one coded and the
light still comes on when I start it is there a
way to reset it ? I tried leaving the key in for
10 minutes for 3 times for a total of 30
minutes already ! Kinda stumped anyone !
Thank you

You need to have your local Chevrolet Dealer repair the security system. The 10 minute or 30 minute relearn procedure that everyone talks about will not work in your situation! So don't waste your time on it!! Without the proper repair the security system will shut down the vehicle all together. Avoid the tow charge and get it fixed correctly now!! Hope that helps! Jim
