Chevy Will not start

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
My 2001 Chevy 1500 will not start. Battery is working, all fuses are good. But when key
is turned - nothing - there seems to be a small quiet click from the region near the inside
fuse box, but nothing else happens.

Check to see if your starter solenoid is receiving voltage when you turn the key. You will need someone with a voltmeter on the solenoid while you turn the key to the crank position. If you are getting voltage and the solenoid is not popping out then you need to replace it. If you are not getting voltage then you may have a faulty ignition switch.
