Need some help please...

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 03 z71 will go into park but the light on dash
stays on the R for a few mins and then goes out.
Never goes on the P for park.. The day light won't
turn out when I put it in park. Please help!!

Some thing is gettin hot.computer tells it cut off for safety.put hand held computer on it
