Leaking from front of block somewhere and it looks like tranny fluid

I have a 2003 Chevy Z71 off road Silverado with a 5.3L V8 and it is leaking
aha looks like granny fluid or a languish pinkish fluid from the front of the
engine.what would that be caused by and how would I find where it is
comingfrom?I drove with just water in the fewer kid the other day

It sounds from your description like hydraulic fluid, which can be brake fluid, power steering fluid, or tranny fluid (ATF). ATF will be redder than the DOT3 fluid. You have two lines from tranny running to the tranny cooler (either built into the radiator or a stand alone cooler). Transmission cooler lines can leak, so get yours checked before any damage from loss of fluid occurs to your tranny.
