oil pressure guage going from high to low

my oil pressure guage keep going from high to none while i drove for a bit,
checked the oil and it was good, now has slight trouble starting up. do yall have
any idea if its the pump or the sending unit?

The sending unit is relatively cheep if replacing or the wire to the unit is shorted or making a poor connection. If it was working or does the same thing after replacing the sending unit and checking the connections and wires and no problem with the connection or wire I would be concerned. A pressure gauge can be connected to the oil pressure sending unit hole to see if it is a bad oil pump.
