It’s firing and getting fuel but will not crank.
Sometimes it backfires thru intake

Sounds like its jumped timing. To confirm this do a compression test. If all cylinders test very low or zero it's jumped timing. Hope that helps! Jim

Agreeing with Jim. Other than that, if someone has switched the plug wires around (accidentally or on purpose) on the engine that might also do such a thing. (Easy to check those plug wires for proper connection and order first with someone to help you that knows this information.) wayne
