It could be a bad fuel injector and it's generally pretty easy to find out. You'll want to crack all your spark plugs loose (and do NOT start the engine) and repeatedly prime the engine by cycling the key to ON, waiting a couple seconds then back off then back to ON ect. Do this several times (8-10) then quickly pull the spark plugs one by one and see if any are wet with fuel, if so that's a leaky injector (s) and probably the cause of your issue. if you feel comfortable enough to do it you could also pull the fuel pump relay and use a piece of wire as a jumper to run the pump for a few seconds to get the same result. I hope this helps.
Other information on the pickup, in new to car gurus, so finally got signed in with face book, it's my truck, it starts hard, like 4-8 cranks, and stumbles when slowly Reving in neutral, but at wot it's revs flawlessly. Also pickup only has 86,000 miles on it.
Yup very well could be a leaky fuel injector. Follow the simple test I outlined to find out, it's free and easy to do
