2004 silverado brakes locking up

Asked by Scott9081 Sep 18, 2020 at 09:35 PM about the 2004 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 LS Crew Cab RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Replaced all major break items on truck, bled all
tires, trucks starts out good with braking with a
normal pedal then all of the sudden the truck starts
shaking and the pedal is rock hard when this
happens I can let off the gas and the truck will
immediately slow down so the front breaks are
locking or hanging up. Could their be air in the abs
system?

A hard brake pedal is an indication of no vacuum pressure. I would insepct the brake booster, and then the combination or check valve. You said you replaced major parts, was worn or old hoses part of these parts?
