motor 5.3 swap

Most of your problems would all be in your elect system. Would all the connectors match, because these days everything is about communications from your sensors to the computer, you might have to take the computer with the motor. I think you are asking for a head ache if you pick the wrong motor. Check which yrs the motor you have were used and find one that matches, and make sure there weren't any major changes to the motor over the years, as I am assuming you want a new motor. Best advice I can give you.

Yes they will work all you have to do is move your crank sensor from the the front of the engine to the side behind the starter and change the intake manifold to the year model that you are going with
