1994 Ford Tempo, starts and runs fine then shut off after a bit when idling dow.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The car started shutting off as it idled down, I changed the plugs, wires,
distributer cap and rotor, fuel filter and the IAC as well as cleaning the throttle
body with carburator cleaner, and checked for vacumn leaks, found non. It
ran better but still died as it idled down after the engine warmed up, yet it
would set in the driveway and idle in park and in gear just fine. I disconnected
the battery to reset the computor and it then ran great on a 30 minute test
drive, later in the evening after another 20 minute drive it shut down and then
would start but immediatly shut down, any idea's?

Check the fuel pressure, sounds like the fuel pump may be going bad.
