2005 Silverado Shifting Issues

Asked by Cole Nov 11, 2020 at 11:01 AM about the 2005 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 LS Crew Cab 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2005 Chevy Silverado. Everything ran fine
the day before issues appeared. I jumped in truck
will not shift into reverse. I put it into drive and it
drove fine. When driving I would get above 40 mph
and the rear view mirror would flash on and off then
the truck would lose all power and not accelerate. I
would shift it into park and I could hear what
sounded like grinding. I shift it back into drive and it
runs for another minute or so before losing power
and repeating the process. Help??
