You've got a fuel leak. use your nose to find out where. use a hose to find out where.

Every time I see a question when folks say the 'smell gas bad', I feel compelled to warn you about the risks of fire. I have experienced 3 vehicles fires personally, one of which was because of my own stupidity with ATF, other two gasoline. As Bob correctly pointed out, you have a leak and /or your charcoal canister is saturated and needs to be purged or replaced. Please use extreme caution, do your repairs when engine is cold
