1994 Ford Thunderbird Mysterious Battery Drain

Asked by DDT2288 Aug 12, 2018 at 11:39 AM about the 1994 Ford Thunderbird LX RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 1994 Ford Thunderbird Lx that I bought a
new battery for back in January. I have had the car
for nearly a year and it has sat due to part
installation. I bought a new alternator to try to fix
the battery drain problem and then the car started
up beautifully but that next morning it was drained
again. Need this car to be fixed fast and don't know
where to look to solve this problem.

Do I have to check each circuit that is in the electrical system that leads under the hood or each circuit in the entire car?

Hook a multimeter up to the battery and read amperage. Remove (and replace) one fuse at a time until the reading drops significantly, you've then found the circut with the draw. I've seen blown interior bulbs be the culprit
