I'm having transmission problems

Asked by tstaff Jun 28, 2015 at 10:21 AM about the 2005 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Work Truck LB 4WD

Was running fine. Stopped at a stop sign took of and soon lost power from the transmission  with the rpms climbing. Stopped checked the fluid and it was fine. Turned of engine for a few minutes took of and the same thing happened .Did the same thing a few more times to get to a parking lot. Could it be something else besides replacing the hole transmission?

Ok sorry scratch the toque converter solinold just read again that your vehicle reved up before it stopped if it was the solinold I thought it would shut down the engine also.
