Why does my fuel pump have to run several times before my truck won't start
Asked by Kevin Mar 07, 2017 at 04:04 PM about the 2003 Chevrolet Silverado 1500HD LT Crew Cab RWD
Question type: Maintenance & Repair
All of a sudden my truck Will not start until I turn
my key on and off several times to allow the fuel
pump to run, after allowing the fuel pump to prime
the system it starts automatically. It does not
matter if it sits all day or if it sits for 10 min. I have
160,000 miles on my truck I change the fuel filter
every year and use gas additives. I have the 6.0
engine.
