People wasting my time and gas. How to avoid it.

Asked by melaniecantu Apr 30, 2019 at 10:49 PM about the 2004 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 LS Extended Cab 4WD

Question type: General

I am exasperated.  Had a woman that asked me about two dozen questions re our truck.  Got us to drop price $1500 from original listing.  Had us drive 40 mins. with both vehicles, in case she wanted to buy truck then and drive home.  Did not even have cash or check when we arrived.  Drove it.  We did everything we could to accommodate her.  Now, not even a response when I texted this evening.  How do we avoid dipshits that waste our time and money for gas?

If they want the vehicle then they'll come to you. I'd never drive over to a potential buyers home, you don't know what sort of nut is going to greet you, it might even be a robbery setup. If you set a reasonable price, stick to it, there are sleazy low ballers out there who will tie up your time or harass you like YOU owe THEM something.

Ken nailed it. If they really care they will come to you.
