Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 01 chevy Silverado 2500hd 6.0l and i can
start it cold and it will run perfect until it reaches
operating temperature then it dies and wont restart
unless im feathering the gas pedal

Bad engine ground. My old chevy truck did the exact same thing. The engine wiring harness had a bad connection to the engine block. The reason why it runs great cold and terrible hot is that the resistance in the wire is increased when heat is introduced to the wire preventing the proper flow of electricity. when the wire is cold it flows enough for it to operate well.
