Asked by Matt Nov 11, 2020 at 12:30 AM about the 2002 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD LS Crew Cab 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

So I have replaced all the speed sensors on the transfer case itself. No luck.
However when i pulled the old sensors i noticed the face of the sensor had
some significant wear on it. I shined my camera light into the T case and
noticed a little wear on the reluctant gear. some days it will get speed
readings but once it shifts into 2nd hard i lose the speed readings. Could
faulty wiring be the case? or sensors on my 4L80e?

Cant say the sensor wasn't making a connection lol, anyways, yes, a bad wire is 1 possible cause. Here's a list of other possibilities.

It’s very strange what’s going on. It seemed to fix itself over night. Drove it to work without any issues and didn’t throw the code. I’m assuming a connection or wire somewhere may be the culprit
