04 dash wiring harness

Asked by Dav38spl Jan 03, 2022 at 05:06 PM about the 2004 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD LT Extended Cab RWD

Question type: General

I have an 04 2500hd 2wd. burnt the dash wiring harness. got a replacement
with different part #. It came from a 1500. I have to remove the accessory2
fuse every time i turn the truck off to get the radio to shutoff. I found out the
harnesses are different but I can't find the correct wiring diagram so I can
figure it out. This seems to be the only thing that doesn't work correct. Who
has the most detailed diagrams online?

Mitchell on Demand and Alldata. But both will require you to set up an account and pay for their services. It sounds like the BCM, which controls the RAP (Retained Accessory Power) system, is not recognizing that the ignition is turned off. Hope that helps! Jim

If you can't find it online Haynes sells the best repair manuals and they come with complete wiring diagrams for the whole truck
