What would cause a 2001 Chevy Silverado 2500 6.6 Duramax to not want to start without using Starter fluid (someone told me to stop using Starter fluid on it because it would cause more problems) so i'm using gasoline on a rag to get it started, but once it starts it runs fine until I turn it off and try to start it again, what could be the cause it 1 Answer

I NEED TO KNOW THE PINN OUT FOR THE SECONDARY IGNITION SWITCH, NOT THE CYLINDER KEY SWITCH, BUT THE SWITCH MOUNTED UNDER THE DASH ON THE STEERING COLLUMN THAT IS ACTUATED BY THE CYLLINDER VIA A PUSH ROD. IT IS A 1988 CHEVY SCOTTSDALE 4X4 PICK UP K2500 350 ENGINE 5 SPEED MANUAL SHIFT ON THE FLOOR. IT IS MISSING THE CONNECTOR OFF THE WIREING AFTER A FAILED ATTEMPT TO ADDAPT THE WIRES TO A STEERING COLLUMN THAT HAS BEEN INSTALLED THAT CAME FROM A 1997 SUBURBAN.
