Leaking water

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
My truck had over heated
I tried pouring water into the radiator
But notice it began to immediately leak on to
the ground as Im pouring
But it wasn't leaking from the area of the
radiator..it was draining from some where in
the middle of the engine ..I can't really tell
where from
What could possibly be the problem

there could be a split or a hairline crack in the hose or one of the clamps could be loose either the one that connects to the radiator or the clamp that connects to the motor.
Hopefully, you have gotten the idea that you need to go look for the source of the leak. Many possibilities but all resolvable by you via an inspection from above and, possibly, below the engine bay. You may start by looking while the engine is cold, but I suspect you will need to start the car to get the coolant flowing (and leaking). Good luck.
after overheating mine was coming from the thermostat housing make sure you change upper an lower housing mine was leaking from the bottom i have a 2001 ford sport trac 4.0
