2005 Chevy trailblazer

I’m not sure what’s wrong with my suv. It literally was
working one day and gave out the next. My suv does not
want to go forward when I press the gas pedal. Instead of
the RPM rams all the way up and the suv just stays there.
I have to turn the car off, wait a minute, then turn back on
for it to try to run at 5 mph. Then does the whole process
again. Sometimes when I turn it back on it wants to go
backwards when I’m in drive (no hills). Not sure what’s
wrong with it.

Sounds like the transmission is shot. Check the fluid level before you tow it to the shop.
Bummer. Research and find a GOOD shop to rebuild the transmission as most shops are mediocre at best.
Definitely have my homework cut out for me. Thankyou to everyone who took the time to answer.
Did you get this fixed? Mine did something similar last week.. lost engine power.. I Havre already replaced my transmission less than 75000 miles ago... was giving code for ECM turned out that a plastic bracket broke that holds a wire harness and something must have hit and exposed the wires... caused the truck to shut down....(like a protection mode) or something... it was a headache but simple fix..
