I the "Check Engine" light on? There's a possibility that you have a failure in your Fly-by-wire throttle system (Gas Pedal or Throttle Body Actuators), a fuel supply problem, or plugged Catalytic Converters. If the Throttle system has any error at all - the Computer will command a "reduced power" state so the car will perform safely and still get you home. Read the Diagnostic Trouble Codes and get back to us.
