Bring the RPMs up while you hold in the clutch. Let the clutch out aggressively, but DO NOT pop the clutch until you've done it more than just a couple of times. You can serious damage your transmission, clutch, or drivetrain by doing this improperly. Remember to have some fun ... that's what it's all about!
rev ur engine up to about 6000 and hold the e brake and let go of your clutch and keep on the gass she'll go haha
With your car you've got a pretty solid drivetrain. Get it up to about 4 grand, pop the clutch and then imediately take your left foot and hold the brake. When you pop the clutch you'll also need to give it some more throttle to maintain your RPMs. DO NOT just slam the brake to the floor, you'll roast your rear brakes, just enough to keep you from moving foward. Try it a couple times in a empty parking lot. I don't know where the first guy is getting his information but do not use the E-brake. That only works on front wheel drive. Good luck! If you get it right it should look like this one I did.
Hold in the clutch, and rev up to high rpm's then slowly release the clutch slowly. :P
I really can't believe this question is getting asked publicly.....
Does your GT have traction control??? If so cut it off...rev it up and dump the clutch. you can hold the brake a little to sit pretty much still or just rev it up and dump the clutch to do a moving burnout.
I kind of wondered to if this was a joke.... I will say though... ROLLING BURNOUTS FTMFW
Are you serious? Maybe I can understand if you have traction control but that thing has enough power and a good enough transmission to do some serious SMOKE SHOWS. just punch the throttle a split second before you let off the clutch that is a good way to SMOKE 'EM and not break anything. Then while she has not moved too far press in on the brakes. This is how you probably LAID A PATCH on your auto (known to others as a brake stand). Also do not listen to the kid that said pull up on your e-brake that is a way to bust your e-brake. Just do exactly what you do when driving it normally but more aggressively and she should LIGHT 'EM UP. Just be careful no cops are around they do not take to kindly to you BOILIN' EM right in plain sight and ROLE BACKS (when you let your car role backwards down the hill and DUMP THE CLUTCH) are the best because then you do not have to sacrifice your rear brakes to BURN SOME RUBBER. By the way use one of the previously used terms to refer to your execution because "smoking your tires" sounds SOOOOO ridiculous. Just call it what it is SHREDDING YOUR TIRES. BURN OUT, SPIN 'EM, RUIN SOME GOOD TIRES.
how do you do it in an automatic? i can peel out but i am to scared to take it to the next level, since its my dads car and all lol
Ride the brake lightly. I hope you're being sarcastic...........
All of you idiots should stop trying to show off with your parents cars.
a: This style of driving is bad for your car b: Bring 4500-5000rpm, let the the clutch out in one fast contious motion(dont just take foot off pedal), keeping RPM up c: Once u can generate tyre smoke,if ya really good place ya foot on the brake and make a smoke show.
here's a tip... dont ever try to do it... if you dont know how by now, then please dont make an attempt... chances are you'll end up killiing someone. you are part of a rare breed called american ricers. you fail.
hahahahahahahaha. Unbeleivable Just dump the clutch sunshine. Burnouts are gonna fucke ya car anyway.
no "she" wont, the e-brake will lock up the rear wheels which are the wheels the power gets sent to
... ... i mean really how the hell did this get asked on a public forum... i mean really... i send enough smoke into the air without any brakes but i guess if u really really wanna turn perfectally good (and probabally 800-1200 dollar a set tires) get ur revs up, pop the clutch... get the tires goin and then get your foot onto the brakes... but just enough too keep you from moving or ur gonna need brakes with ur new set of tires in 30 or so seconds... also ur gonna end up hurtin that drivetrain eventually so keep it to smoke off the line if u wanna show off... any idiot can do a brake stand / smoke show... but get them spinnin off the line all the way into 3rd if u can make it happen and ill give u more props... u can burnout with what 120hp..??? 120ftlbs??? u need raw power to spinn them through the gears on ur launch even if it isnt as fast as hooking up properly...
Dude that is the dumbest question ever. just hold down the brake and the gas and then let that shit go it should do it no problem.
just stomp the gas to the floor that thing has over 265hp at the rear wheels stock.
look I don't want to hurtyour felling but : some people like too do burn out so let them have fun .and if you think its dum don't say it it makes people fell dum so be nice its easyier on other poeple .
Line lock kit.. google it. Then you can feather your clutch out and the gas in.. thats the way to do it.
If you need to ask that question... you shouldn't have that car..... trade it in and buy a kia. You can't get somr driving lessons and the cash you've saved.
the first thing you have to do is turn off the traction control which is the button to the right of the cigarette lighter labeled TCS then rev up the engine and pop the clutch and lightly push on the brake pedal and then let it out until the car starts to move forward then push the brake again and repeat
umm u dont really burn u spin as u take off because of rpm putin pressure on the transmission then kick it into 1 then second then back to first.thats all no burning
i have to agree with most people on here if you dont know how to already then you shouldnt be trying
instead of doing a burnout or a brake stand...get into a good corner drift and keep it in 2nd gear...ride the brakes til you're only goin a few miles and hour...keep the rpm's up and have a blast...take your foot off the brake and do donuts...
hold the gas and the brake, then let go the the brake fast
when u push in the cluch press the brake with the same foot and then press the gas to the floor and then slide your foot off the cluch but leave the that foot on the brake and to the floor
Wow Killian! How old are you, around twelve or thirteen? Someone with this maturity level REALLY doesn't deserve the kind of car you claim you have! It's people like you that kill people with cars like this. Do all of us a favor and get yourself a bicycle and wear a helmet!
All mustangs are rear wheel drive. holding the e-brake while giving it gas will just waste the whole thing up
a tricky technique i use with my '85 chev 3/4 ton 4 speed....left foot in the clutch, turn your right foot on it's side and use your heel to hold the brake (and hold it hard), then proceed by using your toes/ball of right foot to rev the engine up. when rpms are up, let out the clutch but not too quickly. may have to adjust the gas a little. just an idea.....
use the left foot to do the clutch and hold the brake peddle with ur right heal and the gass with ur toes........so in oyher words using ur right foot hold the gas and brake to the floor and pop the clutch and when it starts to red line give it another geas with the free foot......

all you people are idiots tellin this other idiot how to do a burn out in a 5spd and the "E" brake idea was the stupidest thing i've ever heard. just for the record its also not an "E" brake its called a parking brake and its not meant for emergency braking. brandon menes + mustang gt + internet tips = stupid ideas
try not to kill that poor pony plz lol and no E-brake to E-brak bad for stang
you put your heel on the brake and your toe on the gas and put your left foot on the clutch and put the car in gear and than when the car is sitting still in gear rev it up with your right toe as your right heels on the brake and dump the clutch
rev her up pretty high and then dump the clutch and hope for the best!
y would u hold the e brake? its a rear wheel drive. its not your moms honda.
well you have to be quick with your feet get your tires going by dropping the clutch then move your left foot over tp the brake and keep the gas down and she will spin as long as you have tires on her
Yeah why would you do that. anyway the best way is to slowly get of the clutch and then floor it my brothers 351 spins in 2nd gear when you floor it. 1966 mustang....
i have a 2004 5sp... put it in first get up to 4000rpms, then let off the clutch pretty fast. once theyre spinning pretty well hold the brake down with your left foot while keepin the gas going. thats how you do it stayin still. if you wanna do a rolling one get it up to 4000 let off and let em spin. dont forget to shift before it redlines.
easy..."Heel,Toe let the clutch go!" Heel on the brake, toe on the gas bring the revs up, pop the clutch and let em burn!
OK what you do is you have to drop the clutch and switch to the brake quick but u have to be at or around 3 to4 grand but waring theirs a good possibility that you could mess up your transmission or wear down your clutch or hold down the clutch and the brake with one foot and let off the clutch slowly but u could wear down your clutch faster
What do you drive???? !!! Your Moms minivan??
I do it two ways one is harder on the car than the other. The first and easiest on you and the car is simple. Put the car in first (second if you wanna and you got the horses) clutch in of course, floor the gas, and pop the clutch (release very quickly.) If you got traction control turn it off. The second is a brake stand, same process except with your left foot after you popped the clutch quickly press the brake. this works cause the back brakes don't grab to hard and your engine has more power than the brakes stopping power. This is much harder on the car obviously cause it heats up your back brakes and it hurts the tranny. oh yeah you also run the risk of overheating you engine if you "stand" too long. Hope this was helpful
hold the clutch to the floor than rev it up to 4 or 5000 RPMs and dump the clutch. Right after you take your foot of the clutch put it on the brake pedal and the rear tires will spin and spin and spin
My 6.1 SRT8 with performance display on my tech., will turn the traction control all the way off. This will give you a good burn, however ther car slides a bit. It however it still burns with traction control on anyway (high revs over 5k and slip you clutch, as you feel it start to burn release the cluthch all the way.
Holding the brake down is sort of missing the point. Can do that with any car?

It's easier to lay some rubber in a manual than it is an automatic. I know this thread is 4 years old but I had to say something. I hope by now you've learned to drive a manual. And to correct Bryan, who said that they come with 265hp, They don't. You might get 260 to 270hp at the crank but not to the pavement... I promise you. There are hundreds of Dyno tests done on the 03 Mustang Gt (which is my daily driver) and you are getting a max of 220 to 230hp to the pavement. and as for spinning your tires, you shouldn't if you have to ask but I'll answer the question anyway. You DO NOT have to rev you engine to red line to this. All the E brake people are retarded because that locks up the tires you are trying to spin. Tyler had it right with about 4000 or just a little less. And yes, the 03 gt has a traction control button that should be turned off. That is more than likely why you are having trouble. If you want to ruin your tires for a smoke show, I see plenty of people have the answer for you except ones that that want you to use an E-brake. Be warned if you red line before you dump the clutch, you will probably do a 180 or 360 in the middle of the road. Whoever said practice in a parking lot is wise. Do that before you play Dale Sr. or Jr on the road. If you just want to light them up 1st-3rd, make sure you are almost redlining before you switch gears and in between shifts rev your engine to the red line point and dump the clutch. if it's stock, you won't get past 3rd on dry pavement. Also again, be careful for the fish tail because these stangs have a live axle, not independent suspension and your tires will be spinning at a much higher rate of speed than your car is actually going so it will make you fish tail again, only your car is going 30 to 40mph and your tire are going 60-80 or more. You'll be in a ditch in no time. If you have money for tires, clutch kit, tranny work, and possibly rear end work then practice. Everything in life comes at a price and honestly, I like my 03 gt so I only play when it's wet but if you don't know what your doing it's much more dangerous. GOOD LUCK!
HOW TO LIGHT UP STANG FOR DUMMIES 1 open drivers window 2 .pour in 5 gallon petrol 3.stand back. 4 .THROW IN LIT MATCH. 5 Use extreme caution. 6.Watch her light up 7 .Toasting marshmallows not recommended.
I have a Jeep Wrangler with a 4 cycl all I do is get it Rollin and then work the break to get it to stop but at the same time give it more and more gas tell I'm spinning them and stopped. Or broke an axle..
