Check engine light

Asked by Dez Jan 13, 2011 at 10:23 AM about the 1999 Ford Crown Victoria 4 Dr LX Sedan

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I think the guy who sold me my car disabled the check engine light.  How would I
verify this other than checking the fuse box?

When you turn your key on all the dash lights should light up indicating that they work. If it doesn't then it is probably blown or unhooked.

sometimes the bulb will blow,or come unhooked from the cluster,if it dont light up when key is turned on one of the 2 is possable, you can also have a scan done, pull cluster out and check.
