Most will say 10w30w but I think if its really high on miles you can use 20w50w in the southern regions of the USA or a oil made for high mileage engines. I have use 20w50 in all my 4cyl engines even when new, I live in the south.

Mobil 1 is my 1st choice. Before synthetic I used Castrol oil.
I would use 5w30 Motorcraft synthetic blend as the manufacturer recommends.
5w20? http://www.ford-cruising.hu/miscimages/0219.pdf

High mileage oil is fine to use, if its smoking/using oil use a thicker oil. 5w20 is what Ford calls for. If consumption oil loss is a issue with your mileage now try using 5w20 high mileage first, if oil loss continues try 10w30 high mileage.
I am from Malaysia where wether here is hot and I am driving a ford ranger 2.2. What engine oil should I use. I am not using 5w 30 f liquid moli. They said the oil is make for ford ranger only. Can I use other like 5w 40. What is your opinion for our wether here.

The hotter the climate the thicker the oil can be, if still using the thin oil it just needs changed more often or topping off between changes as it disappears out the tail pipe. Most oils have or meet manufacturer specifications but check on the type you choose, if your engine calls for full synthetic then stick with full synthetic.r 10w40 or any others you like if your missing small amounts between oil changes due to being consumed by the engine, [not by leaks] step up to thicker motor oil. Only need a low first number if you have cold winters climates. Just make sure the oil meets or exceeds your specifications. I have used castol 20w50 in 4cyl's and older engines including v8's or 10w30 full synthetic mobile one mostly in newer engines, if it stays above freezing then you can use 20w50 year around You can buy LUBEGAURD BRAND oil additives too.
