did you ever get this problem figured out? I am having the same problem in my 01 Escape

could be a bad thermostat,or temp sensor.

I have the same problem with the same car, and someone suggested I check the heating ring or the radiator.

I have a similar problem since I have not high temperature. I have replaced the motor blower resistor but nothing changed. I'm thinking about a lot of possible ways to fix it, the hardest idea is to replace the evaporator. I'm thinking about to replace the thermostat also. Could somebody tell me how to start to diagnose it?
