I had both years. Both V6. The 2005 was different i was told.

Hey Tom, I was recalling when I turned in my 02 & pick up the 05 Escape, the salesman said that there had been a change. I never looked into to it any further. Nice vehicles, the Escape. There's a company here that converts them into diesels. Hummmmmmm.
