Changing alternator

I have a 06 Ford escape v6 4wd and my alternator
is bad my mother in law has a 95 Ford ranger and
the motor is bad will the alternator on her Ford
ranger interchange with my Ford escape I'm pretty
sure that it won't but it never hurts to ask any help
would be greatly appreciated
