Ford Escape tire size question

Asked by Fs_echapper Jul 17, 2024 at 01:18 PM about the 2006 Ford Escape XLS AWD

Question type: General

I have a 2006 ford escape. I currently have 235/ 70R16 tires on my it but need
new tires desperately. I could get some brand new 225/ 60R17 tires for free
from a family friend. Would they work?

No, as Gene said. The tires you have are 16 inch, hence the 16 on the end of the tire size you posted. But the tires you're looking at are 17 inch, hence the 17 on the end of those tire size. A very nice gesture, but unfortunately they won't work for you. Jim
