Will a 5.4L engine from 2004 Expedition work in a 2004 Excursion

Asked by Melonie May 10, 2020 at 09:12 PM about the 2004 Ford Excursion XLT

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My motor blew in my excursion and I'm looking for
replacements and I'm not sure what will work

1 Answer

The swap may work but there were two different engine plants making two different versions of the Triton so unless you know the engines are the same, the swap can be more complicated than a "bolt in" job.
