If you can't make repairs to the wire harness, then replace it, find the same make/model & year in a scrap yard and salvage a harness from it. It can be tricky trying to patch a harness back together, splices should be soldered and sealed with heat shrink tubing. If you decide to replace the harness (which I recommend) make sure the replacement is IDENTICAL, even minor differences can make it incompatible.
