so i have a 2004 ford expedition xlt and I have read
that they have 4r70w transmissions, and I want to
convert it into a stick shift as a project, are there
any stick shift transmissions that I can plug and
play( obviously I need to do some cutting an
welding )

Plug and play? Not gonna happen but you could try to find a F150 or maybe even a Mustang and use the donor parts to do the conversion.

I just need to know what type of manual transmissions I can fit... i don't want to buy a used transmission realizing something doesn't fit, in order to do a conversion like this i need to change the whole drive train starting from the flex plate of the engine... i don't have much experience on the technical things yet

I think you are in over your head. If I were to attempt this I would look for a Triton V8 powered car or pickup with a manual transmission for a donor. Look for a Mustang or a F150 with a manual transmission. The F150 will be rare.
