Question type: Maintenance & Repair
We bought a used 2004 Expedition XLT (5.4L V8) and when my 7 year old rides in the 3rd row, she is consistenly bouncing (small bounces) while driving down the highway. How can I fix this issue, I know nothing about cars. Please help!

You may need to have the tires balanced. Question: do you feel any vibration or 'bouncing' in the brakes or when accelerating? You may have warped rotors. If the 'bouncing' is just from hitting bumps in the road, you may need to replace the struts - especially the rear struts since you feel it back there more than the front.
Thanks for the responses! There is no vibration during braking. The front and middle seats ride fine, just the 3rd row is bouncy. The bumps in the road seem to really be felt in the 3rd row seating. The seats dont shake or anything. When driving down the highway at 60 with my daughter in the back, she seems to consistently bounce, even on smooth road. Her switching seats are not an option since the middle seats are occupied by baby seats. I was quoted at $636 at a local repair shop for just rear strut replacement only (not entire unit replacement). I looked up complete strut sets already assembled online and found 1a auto for a set of 4 at $319. I dont know if this is a rip off ftom the repair shop, or a cheap set of 4 not worth it. Broke with dilemmas!
A decent shop will charge you about $50 to replace a strut. You can find one that will do the labor only and buy your own struts online, then pay the 200 for the labor. The big risk there is buying the wrong struts.
