2006 Ford 4 spd auto to 6 spd auto trans swap

Can I swap a 2006 5.4L ford 4 spd auto with
transfer case and all with a 2007 5.4 6 spd
auto and transfer case
So pull the whole engine, transmission and
transfer case from a rusted out 2007 6 spd
auto Expedition drop it into a 2006 4 spd
auto expedition.
Can this be a straight swap. And sensor
issue, bolt in issues etc.

Any time you are installing a different size engine, there will be all kinds of problems. Starting with the motor mounts, exhaust system, Engine Control module, wiring harness, emissions, transmission, etc, etc, etc. This will be an expensive project.

It’s the same 5.4l engine. Asking more about swapping the whole engine, transmission and transfer case from a 2007 Expedition (6 speed) to replace the 4 speed in the 2006 expedition ‘07 is rusted out but good eng trans transfer case. 06 is a beautiful King Ranch but engine knocks and Has a four-speed transmission. I would love the six speed transmission so this is why am asking all three components could be swapped from the 2007 down to the thousand six has a four-speed transmission.
